Barb B – Asheville, NC
I thought my wife Stacey and I were going to be cremated, but really, it doesn’t matter to me what happens to my body after I die. If I die first, I just want whatever is easiest for Stacey. We fully believe that we’ll die very closely, meaning once one of us dies, it won’t be long before the other one goes.
I do like the idea of becoming one with the world in some way as a way to live on.
I would love for my friends to get together and tell stories and have a big old party on top of my grave. The funeral process is so much more for the living.
Side note:
My parents really wanted to donate their bodies to science. But in the state of Wisconsin, there were so many hoops to jump through that it started to be too overwhelming to them to make that process happen. Or if they died in a different state, how would they get the body there. So, they backed off of that and now want to be cremated.
